Managing Partner:       

Mr. Ian Macdougald 

Is also a registered nurse.  He became a partner in April 2005. His other qualifications include a Certificate in Management Studies and the Primary Care Management Diploma. Mr Macdougald has worked in both the NHS and the private sector in a variety of positions including outpatient manager in a private hospital and as an operational manager for a local care home group. He has also worked as a practice manager for a surgery with three rural branch surgeries, one of which was dispensing. Special interests include I.T., particularly related to patient care and the clinical system. Mr Macdougald co-leads (with a lead GP) the Clinical System EMIS local user group, sharing useful tips with colleagues in the East Kentarea. He enjoys exploring ways of improving “e” communication and shares an interest in Clinical governance with his wife, who has held posts in Risk and Clinical Governance she now shares his interests as she too is a practice manager. Mr Macdougald was heavily involved in the building of the new premises for the recently merged practice.
