Dr Carissa Eldred MBChB, MRCGP DFFP, MRCOG pt 1.  
Had been working at Mildmay Surgery as a GP Registrar since February 2004. She completed her training at the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2000. Since then she has completed her house jobs in Birmingham and worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the QEQM Hospital in Margate for two years. She has taken part in a three year pilot VTS training programme combining work in general practice with hospital placements for the entire programme, this now successfully completed Dr Eldred is a regular member of the practice team
 Dr Catherine A Neden MA MSc BM Bch (Oxford 1984) FRCP FRCGP DCH DGM DRCOG
Joined the practice in 1990. She and her husband hold a 1.5 joint commitment in the practice. Qualifying at Oxford, she undertook Vocational training in the Bath area. She shares the responsibility for staff within the practice, and joined Dr Sadler as a GP Trainer in 1999. Her interest in palliative care, developed whilst working at Thanet Hospice, is being utilised as a part time Macmillan GP Facilitator for East Kent. Dr Neden is a course organiser on the local vocational training scheme and is also a member of the MRCGP panel of examiners. Dr Neden works closely with the Managing Partner and Training, Development and Personnel Manager on staff matters and was a key member in the QPA project group.
 Dr J W D Neden MA MB BS (Kings 1984) FRCGP DCH DRCOG
After qualifying, he undertook Vocational Training in the West Country and joined the practice in 1990, sharing a 1.5 wte commitment with his wife Kate. His clinical interests include palliative care and minor surgery. His roles encompass structural aspects of practice life such as premises and Information Technology, working closely with the Managing Partner on these issues.  Together they are instrumental in investigating and developing technological advances. Outside  the practice he is a part- time Macmillan GP facilitator for East Kent and has been a trainer since 2002.
 Dr M J Pick MA MB BS (Middlesex 1986) MRCGP DCH DRCOG
Joining the Mildmay Practice in 1990 as a full time doctor after training at Oxford, the Middlesex and the Ipswich GP Vocational Training Scheme. As well as a GP trainer, Dr Pick has recently run a surgery programme for a medical student on attachment from Kings College. His role has been to oversee clinical governance in the practice, including the East Kent Primary Care Clinical Effectiveness Project and currently the Quality and Outcomes framework for the New GMS Contract. He has extended his interest in audit outside Mildmay, previously working on the development of audit protocols with the Thanet Medical Audit Advisory group and was liaison GP for Thanet Hospitals Audit Committee. He has chaired the East Kent Coastal PCT Audit and Clinical Effectiveness Committee. Other current commitments include the Occupational Health Advisor to Avia Services, after working as an Occupational Health assistant from July 2000 to April 2003, and previously assisting Kent County Council in Occupational Health matters. He has recently completed accreditation in extended practice provision of diabetic care.
 Dr R O Sadler MB BS (Charing Cross 1979) FRCGP DRCOG
Joined the Mildmay Court practice in 1985. After qualifying at Charing Cross in 1983, he undertook his vocational training in Guildford before moving to Thanet.  Dr Sadler became Mildmay’s first GP trainer in 1996.  He is responsible for financial matters within the practice. He has been involved in a number of committees in the East Kent area and is currently the chair of the Local Medical Committee. His past commitments have included a six year membership to the Thanet Primary Care Group, but left in 2001 due to increased work commitments at Mildmay. He has a keen interest in physical medicine and has recently taken sabbatical leave to improve these skills.
 

Clinical Assistant and locums:

Dr David Neden MBBS FRCGP 

A  regular face around the surgery Dr David often does locum sessions for both teams He has supported the practice by providing doctor cover for educational afternoons in the recent merger of both surgeries. One of his functions is to visit regularly residents at Lanthorne Court and Bradstow School on behalf of Dr John Neden and Dr Michael Pick respectively.   
Dr J M Hardaker MB BS (Middlesex 1974)

Was the longest standing member of the practice, having joined in 1978. After qualifying at the Middlesex hospital, he undertook vocational training in Crawley and Thanet. His specialist clinical interest is ‘eyes’. He holds a Clinical Assistant’s post in Ophthalmology at Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital in Margate. 

Dr Hardaker announced his retirement in October 2005 but is a welcome sight as a regular locum doctor
